Use the following to organize your commercial. Complete this first before recording anything.

*  For the subject of my commercial I will be using:

*  Existing Product I will create an original product

*  Existing Business I will create an original business

*  The musical bed for my commercial will be in the following style

*  My target audience will be

*  Product/Business message. (What are you trying to sell?)

*  Product/Business slogan.

*  Brainstorm ideas for script.

Criteria for Commercial Assignment #2  


1. Commercial can be completed using Fruity Loops & Cakewalk


2. Commercial must be exactly 45 seconds in length.


3. Commercial must have an original music bed. Meaning no CD’s 


4. Script must be original and not copied from any other source.

 

5.  You may create the music in Fruity Loops or Cakewalk.  Save as “wave” and import into Cakewalk.  After importing, create a second track and record the script for the commercial.

 

Step 1:  Choose idea or concept for commercial.

Step 2:  Create a fruity Loop song (45 seconds) Press the “minute” button to check time

Step 3:  Once file has been created.  You need to save your “Fruity Loop” file as a WAV file.  Press FILE  è  EXPORT  è  WAVE FILE.  Choose you destination folder (Fruity Loop Files) and click “Save”. 

 

Step 4:  Open Cakewalk.  Press FILE   è  IMPORT AUDIO

Text Box: Step 5:  You will then need to record your “script” along with the Fruity Loops Song that you created. Step 6:  Once your script has been recorded, PLEASE ADJUST SOUND LEVELS SO WE CAN HEAR THE SCRIPT OVER THE MUSIC!!! Step 7: Press FILE  è  EXPORT AUDIO.  Save the file as a WAV.  DO NOT SAVE AS A CAKEWALK BUNDLE or NORMAL TEMPLATE
