Assignment #6
Picture & Music Project
The goal of this project is to create a video/music montage of either:
1. Your favorite performing group (consisting of pictures and music of the same artist)
OR
2. Your favorite type of music (consisting of pictures and music of various groups)
What YOU need to bring:
Cd's of your favorite artist (as many as you would like)
Cd's of various artists that you enjoy listening to
Knowledge of websites available to copy pictures from
Procedures:
1. Create a 2 new folders in your network drive: Music Pictures & Movie Files
2. Copy and paste several pictures of your favorite artist(s) - at least 20 pictures. (Don't waste time - do this quickly!!)
3. Open the following program: WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER
4. Choose Import Pictures from Task #1
5. You will have created a timeline of pictures (default is 8 seconds per picture)
6. Save this project as Music Montage
7. The following steps will include opening Audacity and importing audio from your CD's
8. You will need to coordinate the music with the order of pictures that you have placed in the Windows Movie Maker Time Line.
9. You will cut and paste different sections of music and have the music correspond to each picture. Think of cutting 8 second segments for each picture.
10. Within Audacity, you will need to fade in and out of each pasted section. You may use effects, but remember to keep thing musical.
11. Once you have created an Audacity file with all of your music, you will then import it to your Music Montage in Windows Movie Maker. Remember to EXPORT as MP3 before importing it into MovieMaker!!
