On Tuesday, September 20, the Marching Band will be making their annual trip to Springfield, MA to perform at the Big E. For those who are new, PHS is one of the 4 Rhode Island High School Bands that are chosen to perform in front of the Rhode Island Building, as well as marching in their "Mardi Gras Parade" at 6:00pm. This Tuesday is Rhode Island Day.
Information on the Big E can be found on their website: http://www.thebige.com/
We will leave school at 8:00 am and return promptly at 9:30pm. We ask that students bring money for lunch and dinner. You are more than welcome to bring a lunch if you would like. We give the students plenty of time in the afternoon to eat at the MANY different food locations at the Big E. Usually $20-$30 dollars should be enough for lunch (at Big E) and dinner (rest area stop).. We will stop at the Charlton Rest Area which has a food court for dinner. We should return by 9:30pm.
THERE IS NO FEE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BIG E FOR THIS YEAR!
