Backbeat Pop Arrangements

Remote Learning Edition

The following lesson has been re-designed to allow students to access, edit, and create ideas in a distant learning environment. 
​The project still remains as a crucial learning step in the process of editing digital audio

Students will be given a choice of 3 different “pop” melodies that will be used to create an arrangement of.  Students will choose TWO different project melodies to create their own arrangement.  Each project file will contain the melody.  Students will be required to add at least 6 different tracks (6 different loop patterns).  Each melody contains a MIDI file so that all loops and patterns will match according to beats.

You will choose TWO project melodies to create.  Here are the examples:


              Example 1 – The Office                        Example 2 – Stranger Things                Example 3 – I’ll Be There For You

PROJECT 7 DIRECTIONS & PROCEDURES

1.  Choose the first of two melodies you want to arrange.
​​2.  Click on the appropriate SOUNDTRAP PROJECT LINK from Google Classroom. 
3.  Once you have opened the SOUNDTRAP PROJECT LINK you need to change the title by adding your last name, and click SAVE!!!!
4.  Use the loop tab on the right to explore the 100’s of different loops that Soundtrap has.
5.  Make an arrangement by adding at least 6 DIFFERENT loops
