Project 9

Song Mashup w/STEM FILES

Remote Learning Edition

Picture
The following lesson has been re-designed to allow students to access, edit, and create ideas in a distant learning environment.
The project still remains as a crucial learning step in the process of editing digital audio

For this project you will use a combination of (1) STEM FILES (2) ACAPELLA FILES, (3) SOUNDTRAP LOOPS & BEATS to create a song mashup of your creativity on Soundtrap.

This project file will be edited in Soundtrap and the length will be set by the size of the stem files and tracks used.  The project should be AT LEAST 2 minutes in length.

What are STEM files?
A Stem file is an open, multi-channel audio file that contains a track split into four musical elements:
     1.  Bass
     2.  Drums
     3.  Vocals
     4.  Melody.

With each element available independently, you can mix live in new ways that haven't been possible until now.

Create instant track edits, mash-ups, a cappellas, and more by bringing different Stem parts in and out of the mix.
