WHAT IS THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND HONORS BAND?
It is a two day festival that runs from Friday, January 26 (9am – 5pm) to Saturday, January 27(9am – 9pm, which includes the concert). It is a great opportunity to play with talented musicians from different schools and to play literature that you might not get a chance to perform. It is run almost identical to an All-State Festival. Many students who are in All-State are also in the Honors Band. It is a nice ensemble to audition for, especially for students who are not accepted into All-State.
- Registration forms AND RECORDINGS are due WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2017
- Once forms are signed and completed, please submit to Mr. Rausch or Mr.Horgan
- There is no fee to audition, however, if accepted, there is a $40 registration fee to be paid.
- Auditions will be held at Portsmouth after school during the last week of November. Audition times will be arranged with students once forms are submitted.
